Mike Deibler

Mike Deibler is the founder/owner of San Diego Premier Training. Being a former All American at the University of Connecticut he has always strived to be the best. He achieved a Master’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Florida and continues to stay on top of the latest health and fitness research. Mike is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a certified personal trainer with the National Association of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. He has expanded his specialties and is also Functional Movement Screen certified to help identify and improve movement dysfunctions and keep you injury free.  He is also Certified Functional Strength Coach and Spartan SGX Coach.

Mike has worked with hundreds of clients and showed them the path to a new life. He has shown that we are not stuck with a certain body. With the right program and nutrition anyone can be in great and healthy shape.

On top of working with clients to reach fitness goals, Mike also is the Education Director with Exercise Etc., a educational based company helping personal trainers, athletic trainers, and physical therapist from around the country improve on their skills. Also, Mike is an adjunct professor for Miramar Community College.

Emily Deibler

Mississippi native, Emily Deibler has been involved with sports and fitness from a young age. She began as a competitive gymnast – which eventually led into successful dance and cheer programs that took her through college where she was able to turn that love of sport into a career. Obtaining her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science at the University of Florida was the start. Earning certifications from NASM, ACE, and Precision Nutrition was the next step in giving her the ability to successfully coach clients down the path to their goals. She recognizes that each client’s goals are different and personal and develops a plan personalized to each individual. With both training and nutritional certificates, Emily can offer balanced programs in studio or online.  Emily runs the nutritional coaching program to help establish daily nutritional habits to help reach your goals.


Andrea Lane

As a nutrition and holistic lifestyle coach, certified personal trainer Andrea has a track record of success in helping San Diego clients of all ages and fitness levels achieve their goals. Her objective is to establish life balance through practical nutrition guidance and a realistic approach to strength training and personal health.

Incorporating a wide repertoire of practical skills and experience, Andrea motivates clients to make a sustainable commitment to personal wellness, creating a manageable lifestyle change. Andrea is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), the Poliquin Institute (PICP), and as a C.H.E.K. Holistic Lifestyle and Precision Nutrition Coach. She has also earned a B.S. from the University of Colorado.

Brian Bartolomei
Personal Trainer

Brian Bartolomei has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 1996. As a former firefighter and life long athlete, he brings his passion for sport and performance to work with him every day. With certifications from the American Council on Exercise (Personal Training), National Aerobics and Fitness Trainers Association (Biomechanics), American Academy of Health and Fitness (Post-Rehab) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) as well as a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University, Brian is capable of handling any challenge. Providing excellent customer service to all clientele, whether in a private or large commercial environment, is always a top priority. Helping clients achieve their personal goals, changing their lives for the better, or reducing injury through fitness in the corporate arena, Brian will put you on the path to success.

Christine Burke
Personal Trainer

Christine is a Certified Personal Trainer and certified ACE Health Coach. In addition to private and semi-private personal training, Christine is happy to offer affordable group fitness at San Diego Premier Training, and even some free workouts. She also volunteers as a running coach for InMotion Fit, the official training program for the Carlsbad Marathon and Half.

It surprises most people that Christine has always been terrible at sports, that she was obese in college, and that she couldn’t even run one mile. She became more active and lost weight, but continued to hate running into her late thirties. It was then she found out how well running works with pizza and beer. Since then, Christine has run 2 full marathons and over 40 half marathons, which turns out to be a lot of pizza and beer. She also likes lifting heavy stuff and hitting things.

Daniel Shamburg MS, CSCS

Daniel completed his Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology  from the University of Tennessee. Before moving to San Diego, Daniel was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteer Strength and Conditioning department. For over 10 years, he has helped individuals and teams achieve their fitness and performance goals.

In addition to teaching group fitness, Daniel enjoys working with high school athletes. He has worked as a Strength & Conditioning coach for Mount Carmel High School varsity swim team as well as the Pacific Swim club team.

Daniel’s mission is to provide state-of-the-art fitness and conditioning principles to people who are looking to improve their overall fitness level, achieve a sport-specific goal, or learn new ways to train.

Justin found his passion of healing the human body though troubleshooting and problem solving his own athletic injuries while growing up in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He has developed his treatment to focus on full body movements strongly influenced by his co-workers at RISE and Applied Functional Science. In his spare time, he is learning how to surf, playing basketball and golf, and exploring his new home in Southern California

Katie DePoalo

A recent transplant from New Jersey, Katie is thrilled to begin her new life here in sunny San Diego. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the American Council on Exercise. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Katie has experience in personal training, group training, beach bootcamp, corporate fitness, and nutritional guidance. She created a weekly strength conditioning class for teenage girls with the focus of creating a positive exercise experience from a young age. Katie particularly enjoys working with those who struggle to seek a healthy relationship with food and exercise. Michael Hollstegge


Michael built his foundation for Physical Therapy on his own recovery from a high school basketball injury. He’s an avid golfer who is as passionate about the game as he is about rehabilitating all patients to reach their maximum movement potential. Michael is also a certified golf fitness instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute who can address your physical limitations, provide you with the treatment to correct these limitations, and apply the results to your game.

Nicky Perry

Nicky Perry became a certified personal trainer through NASM in 2008. She became a personal trainer because despite playing several sports, she struggled with her weight throughout her teens and twenties. She finally learned the proper science behind fitness and nutrition and went on to achieve and maintain her personal goals through proven and maintainable lifestyle changes. She applied all she had learned when she decided to start competing in figure and bikini competitions and despite placing first in several shows, the true reward was knowing how far she had come in her understanding of weight management.

Based on these experiences, Nicky’s personal mission is to help other people who have felt intimidated by public gyms the way she did in the past and to help them associate fitness with feeling empowered and successful. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to fitness and nutrition, and what might work well for one person may not for another. Regardless of the client however, all her programs are created from the standpoint of correcting or maintaining proper postural alignment so that every body may move efficiently without pain or injury. While her speciality is men and women with fat loss and/or lean muscle gain goals, she also loves working with older populations, kids and teens, clients coming back to exercise after injury and fitness competitors preparing for a show.

Rachel Nesseth

Rachel Nesseth was born and raised in San Diego County, where she grew up with a passion for dance and animals. She rode horses in local shows and danced throughout the state for various studios, workshops, and school performances. She attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara to study kinesiology and dance. Her passion for dance continued with the school dance company, Winddancers. During an exchange semester she interned with the Boston Ballet in the education and outreach programs while attending classes at Harvard. She received Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, cum Laude from Westmont College in 2011.

After moving back to San Diego, Rachel attended the University of St. Augustine to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, DPT.

Michele serves as a speaker and consultant to the SFMA brand. Michele prides herself on building lasting relationships with her client as any true change will take hard work and effort.
